Chiddy Bang - Slow Down (feat. Blackthought and elDee the Don)
This band is an indie kids hip-hop dream. They use samples of MGMT, Passion Pit, and even Sufjan. They also make references to bands like TV on the Radio and the Cool Kids. They’ve been doing really well for themselves and being from Philly they’ve attracted the attention of the great Black Thought (aka. Tariq) of the Roots. Tariq just produced their EP, Opposite of Adults, which should be out… Today! I’d say it’s time to look into this EP. You might want to czech out their mixtape here first though.

TOP TEN FAVOURITE: TV ON THE RADIO
So I applied for a job a HMV the other day and was caught off guard when the girl taking my resume asked what my three favourite bands were. I panicked but with some hesitation replied TV on the Radio, Pixies, and MF Doom. Now if I was asked again the only one I know that would stay is TV on the Radio.
I should know these things! So for the next 10 audio posts I’m going post songs from my top ten favourite band, no specific order and not necessarily my favourite song from them.

I could go on and on about this band but I remember my brother lent me their CD Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes. Instantly loved Staring at the Sun and Dreams, the rest I thought was okay. Then when Return to Cookie Mountain came out I bought it and listened to it more times than I care to count. I didn’t get tired of it but wanted more so I went back and listened to DY, BB again and realized how much I loved the songs that I thought were okay the first time around particularly The Wrong Way, Ambulance, and Wear you Out.
